God’s Guidance, Plan, and Protection

I would like to share a testimony.

I had not visited an eye doctor for almost 12 years. Recently, I noticed that my vision was getting blurry while driving, so I went for a power check-up. During the examination, the optometrist said she could not apply the eye drops needed for the test because my eye drainage angles were narrow, and the drops might block them and potentially lead to glaucoma. She then referred me to a surgeon.

When the surgeon examined my eyes, he told me that I had come at the right time, because my eyes had already developed glaucoma. He also said that if I had delayed even for a few more months, it could have led to an acute angle closure, which might have caused permanent vision loss.

That same day, he performed a laser surgery, and now my eye pressure is back to normal, and I am recovering well.

When the surgeon said I had come at the right time, I truly felt how God had guided me step by step - leading me to the optometrist and then to the surgeon exactly when it was needed to protect my vision.

As Jemima Akka mentioned today, it is truly God’s guidance, plan, and protection, and not something we can plan better than Him. I was not aware of the seriousness of an acute angle closure, and even though I had not been regularly visiting an eye doctor for check-ups, God knew and planned everything perfectly to protect me.

I praise God for preserving my eyesight and directing me to the right doctors at the right time.
